Policy

SLATE HOUSE FARM

CARBOOT & MARKET

POLICY

Courtesy

Our policy is that all our customers have a pleasant, positive experience at the car boot, whether they are buyers or sellers.  For this reason we do not allow members of the public to walk around the stalls until sellers have had the chance to set up.

For the same reason, may we respectfully request that car booters afford the same courtesy to other traders.  Anyone found to be infringing this request, by hassling others, will be asked to leave the premises.

Marshalls

All our staff wear yellow hi-vis gilets/coats so that they can be easily identified.  They are authorised to inform members of the public and car booters how and where to park.  In the interests of health and safety and the smooth running of the site, their instructions must be followed with argument or abuse.

COVID 19 AND YOUR SAFETY

In order to be able to run Slate House Farm Car Boot and Market, we need to make sure we follow the latest government guidelines and local authority regulations.  In order to do this effectively and safely we need your help and support.

Please make sure that you read this information.  By entering onto our  site you are deemed to have read and agree to comply with the new safety measures as set out below and elsewhere on the website, facebook and on site.

Social Distancing is vital - 2 metres apart is the current government advice and we ask you to adhere to this.  If, and when, this changes we will amend the policy as appropriate.

We ask that you keep your distance; respect others and yourselves.  When looking at items, prospectitive buyers must continue to keep to the distancing rules and not crowd other buyers or hassle sellers.

Stall holders will be given more room so they can keep their distance from each other and should not encroach on the extra area.

All stallholders must make hand sanitiser available for members of the public (and themselves).

Everyone should sanitise their hands before touching anything.

Payment for entry must be made with the correct amount.  No change will be given.  Where possible the correct amount should be tendered for any purchases made.

Any rubbish must be put in appropriate bins.  We have recycling 'Help for Heroes' bins throughout the site.

Stallholders MUST take any unsold, unwanted items home with them.  If we have to dispose of rubbish, there is every likelihood that will have to put our prices up.  This will also prevent our staff being put at risk.

Failure to comply with our policies may result in you being asked to leave the site and not return.

Our staff are there to ensure the smooth running of the car boot and ultimately for your safey.  You must follow their instructions without resistance or argument.  We will not tolerate abuse in any shape or form.
